OUR FOUNDER
Bec knew the team she needed & set out to find whom - she believed would lead with self-preservation.
Bec was not only looking for qualifications - Bec was searching for special individuals who had the ability to bring calm & courage with the intentions to connect to our children & veterans who felt lost - disconnected and sad.
Meet the originals!
Rebecca Has Lost Count Of The Number Of Times She Has Failed.
Reflecting On The Moments Of Failure, She Now Smiles,
Because Her Interpretation Of 'Failure' Is Completely Different To What It Used To Be.
Today, she embraces 'every failed attempt' with her goals, because it has led her to where she is now and that is what she is grateful for. Her 'failures' became her compass and they shaped her emotionally, mentally and spiritually. She believes she would not be the person she is today without them.
Rebecca grew up in Toongabbie, Parramatta, a satellite city in western Sydney Australia, and has only one thing on her mind - the constant suffering of Australians and the political ignorance surrounding it. Her daily concerns for the welfare of those in need and to instil a sense of security for them - has motivated her to create change in their world.
Rebecca's fight for survival started in the late nineties - after making attempts on her own life. Crippled with lower back pain and unable to work, Rebecca's world crumbled when she was told by her Doctor that her world as she knew it - was now over. No more work, softball or dancing as she would only end up on the floor. Rebecca lost her identity - and was consumed with emotional, physical, financial and spiritual pain. She had to start over again and had no idea how. She was only twenty-eight years old and on the 'Ferris Wheel' of therapy which she loathed!
Bec was told she was bordering Bi-Polar 45 minutes into her first session! He believed that her current behaviour was manic - Bec disagreed. Bec explained that she was allowed to have mood swings because she is a woman! Bec knew she was not Bi-Polar or de-pressed. She wanted to know how to cope, he could not help her and she walked out the door. Desperate for answers and feeling like a bear in a cage - Bec decided to see a Life Coach. She was exceptional and - expensive. Her Life Coach was better than therapy and counselling and at the advice of her Life Coach - Bec decided to study because she believed that her environmental matters were shaping her thoughts and so with no coping mechanisms in place - she quit therapy, Sydney and moved to Lake Cathie to heal, to educate herself and evolve into the woman she wanted to be.
Bec explored and analyzed her own behaviour which was all fear-based reactions to an injury that came out of nowhere. Not de-pressed, not Bi-Polar and all Bec had to do was to drop her expectations, accept her injury, understand her failed attempts, meditate and walk. Bec received her Diploma - passing it 100% and encouraged by her teacher to follow on and lead with coaching. Bec felt that she needed a Degree to be taken seriously and received it at 41 years old.
23 years of tears, failures, pain, self-sabotage, diva tantrums and self - love, Bec has created the space for self-renewal through meditation, having a relationship with her 'SELF' and understanding her own behaviour and what - to react to. Bec loves who she is and has peace in her heart. By creating a new life - she knows she can never be stuck in the past - moreso moving forward with substance, grit and a very strong will to change the behaviour of many so they live with spirit - not medication!
December 7th 2020 Bec had two discs replaced in her neck and thirty-six days later had a two-level lower back reconstruction - nothing was there and she has not sat behind her desk since 2008. Now recovering and one more neck operation to go - Bec is pushing this foundation and her BTOPIA parenting program to new levels in 2022.
